The higher up the chart, the more expensive a diamond will be....

Diamonds have internal features, called inclusions, and surface irregularities, called blemishes. Together, they’re called clarity characteristics.

Clarity is the relative absence of clarity characteristics.

Blemishes include scratches and nicks on a diamond’s surface. Inclusions are on the inside.

Depending on where they’re located, they might still be there after the stone has been cut and polished.

On the above chart, the greatest of all is F1; Flawless= show no inclusion or blemish of any sort under 10X magnification

VS1= Very Slightly Included that contains minute inclusives such as small crystals, clouds when observed under 10X magnification.

My ring falls under this category n still can be regarded as under EXCELLENT clarity..hehe....
